CUTTACK THE CITY OF 1000 YEARS
Cuttack is popularly called The City Of 1000 Years.It is also known as The Silver City as it is very famous for its siliver work(tarakashi) not only in our country but through out the world.It is the former capital and the largest city of the state of Orissa.
The name of the city originated form the word Kataka that literally means The Fort, a reference to the ancient Barabati Fort around which the city developed.
